As I mentioned in previous blog article Why Cotton Linen is Must-Have For You, cotton linen is one of the most common fabrics in clothes. Since it's highly breathable, environmentally, skin-friendly, soft and cozy, which makes it easily becomes popular among the public. However, many customers tell us that they don't know how to distinguish the material between cotton linen and linen because these two fabric are so similar. Thus,they ask me to write an article to clarify the differences.

Actually, there are mainly two differences between this two fabrics:
1. Pure linen is much rougher than cotton linen and because the production technology and method is different from cotton linen, it's probably to have certain color differences in some linen threads, which will lead to an inconspicuous chromatic aberration on the finished products. In addition, impurities still exist in pure linen. However, in the aspect of wearing, pure linen is more cozy and comfortable than cotton linen.

2. The actual thickness of cotton linen is not too thin, even for the thin type of clothing. No matter what color is the cotton linen, it won't reflect the light on its surface. What's more, due to cotton linen combines the merits and demerits of linen and cotton, although it's breathable and soft, it's also easy to shrink and get crinkle than linen. Therefore, it'd better be ironed when wearing if needed.
