Neither boisterous like Rime Island nor commercial like snow village, Kuerbin only has the most natural beauty and the most honest people. From December to February in each year, this marvelous place always attracts shutterbugs and travelers coming from all over the world to enjoy such truly enchanted snow wonders.

Kuerbin is located in Hongxing Forestry Bureau, Yichun, Lesser Khingan Mountains, Heilongjiang Province, which is a perfect place for viewing rime. “ See cuckoo in spring” and “see rime in winter “ are the two must-seen sceneries in Kuerbin. I found myself powerfully drawn to this fascinating place, no wonder the travel photography enthusiasts races to there every year.





There is a hydropower station in the upper stream of Kuerbin River whose capacity is about 420 million cubic meters. Thus, when the water pouring from the station in winter, it will carry a huge of heat, which leads to these beautiful and magnificent rimes in down stream.

All the trees are covered with the snow-white rimes, the stones are carpeted with a thick sheet of snow, a cloud of white droplets are curled from the river, travelers are drunk in such beautiful scenery, year after year.


The natural snowflakes bloom in the bare branches, a thin cloud of steam are rising from the river, dancing, and flying. This ice-cold place seems to liberate its own passion in warm morning. If you see how dedicated are the photographers in the river bank, you will realize how fascinating of this beauty.






In Chinese poems, poets like to use “jade trees and agar flower” to describe the absolute beauty of trees. Now, this type of beauty is in front of me, existing in my country. Combining with morning fog, vague, indistinct and intangible, which increases a sense of dreamy feelings. What we need to do is keeping silent, adoring the fairy landscape and observing the nature around us.




If there is an opportunity for me to appreciate such beauty of snow again in my life, I will be satisfied.
