Summer is officially yelling "BBQ TIME!" right?! Getting dressed can sometimes feel like a puzzle, especially when it's hot but you still wanna look cute and actually be comfy enough to eat ALL the things and maybe even play some lawn games 😉.

1. The Easy Breezy Dress!
Seriously, nothing beats just popping on a light, loose fitting dress. Cotton or linen is a MUST. Find one in a fun print or a bright color? You're instantly summer-ready. Add big sunnies and maybe a floppy hat, and you look effortlessly chic but feel like you're wearing pajamas. Winner!
2. Denim Shorts + Cute Tee
This is my default when I can't think. High-waisted shorts (because who needs to be adjusting their clothes all day?) and either a cute graphic tee or just a simple tank. Tuck it in if you're feeling fancy! Throw on some sneakers you don't mind getting a little dirty and you're good to go.
3. Evening BBQ? Maxi Time!

Seriously, think practical! You'll probably be walking on grass or uneven ground. Leave the stilettos at home! I live in cute flat sandals (ones with cushioned soles are best!), block heels (they don't sink!), espadrille flats or wedges, or stylish sneakers. Comfort is NON-NEGOTIABLE!

Hat! Sunglasses! Sunscreen that doesn't smell like a chemical factory! Your future self will thank you.
Bag Strategy:
You need hands for holding plates and drinks! Crossbody or nothing for me. Tried a clutch once and ended up making my boyfriend hold it the whole time 😅

Sunglasses are a must to shield your eyes from the glare.

I learned this the hard way - cotton and linen are the only acceptable options when it's hot. I have this one polyester dress that looks super cute in photos but turns me into a swamp monster after 20 minutes outside.
